“Family is not by skin and blood but by how much you love one another”
Family is not measured through the negativity or the positivity of your DNAs and genes. It is measured by how you bond together, how you solve problems and get through it together. It is measured by how you give love to each and every one who’s part of it. That is family.
Last January, the essence of family was celebrated in Asian College of Technology’s annual Family Day. I had enjoyed the performances, the games, of course, food. I had enjoyed until the extent of everything with my friends, teachers and my grandmother, who had always been special to me.
During the celebration, I had so much fun together with my grandmother. I kept asking her if she was having fun or was she bored. As much as possible, I tried to keep her entertained. But, still, there was that missing piece, it my mom. I understood she was at work and that thought just made me happy that she was working hard for us, so that missing piece never really bothered me.
To sum it all, family is not by skin and blood but by how much you love one another. And also, another extra point, I won a raffle draw.
